Breathe deeply. Slow down. Reconnect with yourself
Breathing is something we do every moment of every day, yet many of us have developed breathing patterns that can limit how fully we experience life.
Transformational Breath® is a powerful self-development and breathwork modality that works with the breath, body and mind to help you discover and release habitual patterns.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll be gently guided to explore your own breathing patterns and develop a deeper awareness of how you breathe.
You’ll experience a combination of group and individually facilitated breath sessions, giving you the opportunity to work both collectively and personally.
You’ll also learn practical breathing techniques that you can take home with you and incorporate into your everyday life.
Surrounded by the wild Atlantic, fresh island air and the natural rhythm of island life, this weekend offers you the space to step away from everyday demands and turn your attention inwards.
This is more than a weekend away.
It is an opportunity to reclaim your breath and reconnect with yourself

I loved all the gatherings over the weekend, the yoga ar an trá agus ag snámh,the first evening in the tent, the fire and the sing song, the wildflower walk but mostly the energy of the weekend and intention within created and held by Áine for all of us. Míle buíochas

Áine is inspirational, very thoughtful and a constant gentle presence throughout the time on the island creating a real sense of being held in the space created. Really well organised and very approachable.
Attended Wild Atlantic Island Yoga Retreat
Áine is a lovely warm friendly person. She calmly organised a lovely weekend and kept everything moving along without any fuss or sense of hurry. She is very easy to talk to and was knowledgeable on her subject of yoga as well as on the Island.
Attended Wild Atlantic Island Yoga Retreat
8am yoga class was really great, and the swim after, love doing things early in the morning. Also love the accumulation of yoga, doing one the evening before and again the next morning. You really feel connected to your body.
Attended Wild Atlantic Island Yoga Retreat
It was a wonderful weekend. I’d recommend it to anyone.
Attended Wild Atlantic Island Yoga Retreat
I highly recommend the retreat. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Aran Islands, be surrounded by people using Irish as the primary language of communication, and to have a daily yoga practice, sometimes followed by a swim. Thank you Áine, I hope I’ll be back!
Attended Wild Atlantic Island Yoga Retreat
I especially enjoyed the sensory experiences of the water meeting the land then the 🔥 fire and breathing in fresh air…I felt very at one with and connected to nature. I’m so happy to be a Sandie!! It has encouraged me to look at more programmes as gaeilge and try to speak it more. It was a thoroughly memorable experience ✨️ ❤️

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any previous breathwork experience?
Not at all. Reclaim Your Breath™ is suitable whether you are completely new to conscious connected breathing or have previous experience with breathwork.
Is this a yoga retreat?
No. Although Áine hosts wellness retreats through Éalú Aran, the focus of this weekend is Transformational Breath®. The programme is led by Claire and Michael, with Áine supporting you as your host and fellow Transformational Breath® Facilitator.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Many people choose to come to retreats on their own. The small-group environment provides an opportunity to meet others while still giving you plenty of personal space.
How do I get to Inis Oírr?
You can travel by ferry from Co. Clare via Doolin, or from Co. Galway from Ros a Mhíl, or take a short flight from Connemara Airport.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving early on the first day so you have time to settle into island life. Bag drop is available before and after your room is ready.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing that allows you to breath freely, move and relax, warm layers, rain gear, swimwear, comfortable walking shoes, a reusable water bottle and anything you like to use for personal reflection such as a journal.
Will there be free time?
Yes. Time between sessions is deliberately left open so you can rest, walk, explore the island, journal, connect with others or simply do nothing.
