Combine wellness and weaving in this immersive Irish island retreat on the Aran Islands. This is a one of a kind yoga and wellness retreat where you get to fully yourself immerse in Irish culture. Join your local island guide who will lead you on an authentic Irish Island experience where wellness and weaving merge.
Over this immersive weekend, you’ll weave words and willow together – experiencing ‘Gaeilge’, the Irish language (still used as the locals everyday language) through craft, story, and shared experience on this Irish language wellness and weaving retreat.
Guided by local makers and storytellers, you’ll move with the rhythms of island life: morning movement, willow crafting, sea swims, mindfulness, wildflower walks, special gatherings. Experience this Wild Atlantic Way Island retreat for mind, body and spirit.
Return home with your own handwoven ‘ciseán’ basket made of locally grown ‘sailí’ willow. Stay in local accommodation, create memories of hidden paths, warm conversations, and the gentle flow of Irish as it lives in craft, nature, and community on the island.

I loved all the gatherings over the weekend, the yoga ar an trá agus ag snámh,the first evening in the tent, the fire and the sing song, the wildflower walk but mostly the energy of the weekend and intention within created and held by Áine for all of us. Míle buíochas

8am yoga class was really great, and the swim after, love doing things early in the morning. Also love the accumulation of yoga, doing one the evening before and again the next morning. You really feel connected to your body.

It was a wonderful weekend. I’d recommend it to anyone.
Attended Wild Atlantic Island Yoga Retreat
I highly recommend the retreat. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Aran Islands, be surrounded by people using Irish as the primary language of communication, and to have a daily yoga practice, sometimes followed by a swim. Thank you Áine, I hope I’ll be back!
Attended Wild Atlantic Island Yoga Retreat
I especially enjoyed the sensory experiences of the water meeting the land then the 🔥 fire and breathing in fresh air…I felt very at one with and connected to nature. I’m so happy to be a Sandie!! It has encouraged me to look at more programmes as gaeilge and try to speak it more. It was a thoroughly memorable experience ✨️ ❤️
